Zenith
is a Utrecht-based collective operating at the intersection of music and visual art, with the primary goal of creating space for experimentation within Utrecht's nightlife culture. Zenith has organized a wide range of audiovisual club nights, listening sessions, and exhibitions at various locations and in collaboration with different parties in Utrecht. Examples include Ekko, Acu, NAR Café der Kunsten, De Nijverheid, Le Guess Who, KABUL à GoGo, and NFF.
The focus is largely on a combination of underrepresented (electronic) music genres with non-Western influences and visual art in various forms, such as physical installations and live visuals accompanying performances by musicians and/or DJs. Zenith explores the fringes of nightlife culture, providing space for local talent to experiment and develop as artists.
Where possible, we promote interdisciplinary collaborations between artists and creators from different disciplines to foster new creative expressions, develop fresh ideas, and experiment with them for a Utrecht audience.
